Applying for Funding from the Whiteman Foundation and Whiteman 4G Foundation

The foundation works with projects and organizations in the greater Phoenix area. Funding is also considered for nonprofits in Arizona. The foundation typically determines which organizations can submit proposals, but has, on previous occasions, considered unsolicited proposals.

If you wish to apply, the best method is to call Executive Director Mollie C. Trivers at 480-633-4413 or e-mail her at mtrivers@empire-cat.com to describe and discuss your project.

At this time, the Whiteman Foundation focuses solely on early childhood development. The fourth generation foundation, Whiteman 4G Foundation has a broader funding agenda. If after discussing the project, the project fits within the foundation’s guidelines, you will be asked to complete the electronic grant request form.

Proposal Requirements

The proposal must include the following:

• 2-page preliminary proposal that outlines your organization’s mission and vision, the opportunities and challenges facing your organization, the project you are requesting support for and how success will be measured. Click here for the application form.
• Board of Directors roster and business affiliations
• 3-year budget (Budget required upon review by Whiteman Foundation)
• IRS 501(c) 3 determination letter
